01Introduction and scope
TrueCreditCalc — the App, from here on — is an Android application distributed through Google Play. This policy explains the personal information the App deals with, the reason each item is needed, and what you are able to do about it.
The policy is confined to the App. Websites, products and services run by other companies sit outside it, even where a link inside the App leads you to them; those operators answer for their own handling of data.
Each permission is explained in an on-screen notice before it is first used, and Android then asks you to confirm. Nothing described here is collected without your knowledge, and every optional item can be turned down without losing access to the App. If any part of this policy is unacceptable to you, the appropriate step is to uninstall the App.
02About the publisher
The App is issued by Pria keren — "we", "us" and "our" below — which is the entity named as developer on the App's Google Play listing. We determine what information is collected and what is done with it.
Enquiries, requests to see or correct your information, and complaints should be sent using the details in section 14. Anything arriving that way is recorded and answered. Feedback left as a store review cannot be matched to an account and may therefore go without a reply.
03Information you provide
Some information reaches us purely because you type it in or upload it. Opening an account and applying for credit involves supplying:
- a mobile number, which serves both as your sign-in credential and as the destination for one-time verification codes;
- your name, together with an email address or a second phone number we can reach you on;
- the particulars an affordability check rests on — what you do for a living, your employer or business, monthly earnings, and any borrowing already running;
- bank account details, so that an approved sum can be released to you and instalments collected;
- the people you name as references, and their contact numbers;
- the content of any message you send our support team or a grievance channel.
Fields that must be filled before you can move on are marked while you complete the form. The remainder may be left empty, though an assessment has less to work with when they are.
Identity documents
Credit cannot be granted until identity has been confirmed. You may accordingly be asked to photograph — or to attach a picture you already hold of — one of the following:
- Aadhaar card
- PAN card
- driving licence
- voter identification, or a comparable document from a government authority
Such images serve one end only: confirming that the person applying is the person the account belongs to. They are put to no other use, and the camera becomes active only when you tap to use it.
04Information gathered automatically
Running the App produces technical records as a by-product of ordinary use. Those records cover:
- the handset model, the Android release it is running, and the App's build number;
- an identifier the operating system assigns to this particular installation;
- the connecting IP address, the carrier, and whether the link is mobile data or Wi-Fi;
- a coarse idea of location inferred from the network rather than measured precisely;
- the screens visited, the route taken between them, and how long each visit lasted;
- traces left behind when the App stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or slows down.
These records exist to keep the service working: maintaining availability, tracing what caused a failure, recognising traffic that originates from software rather than from people, and identifying the areas of the product that deserve attention. No advertising profile is assembled from them, and none is passed on.
05App permissions explained
Permissions are requested one at a time, at the moment a feature needs them, once the App has said why. Turning down an optional permission narrows what the App can do; it does not prevent you from using it.
Only a broad area is obtained — enough to place you in a city or district, never at a street address. It is matched against the territory the App is authorised to serve and against the places your account has normally been used from.
The purpose is narrow: confirming that an account is being used where it is registered, and noticing access attempts that break your usual pattern and might indicate that someone else has obtained your credentials. Location is never sold, and never handed to advertisers.
Two uses: photographing an identity document during verification, and attaching a picture you already hold — a bank statement or a payslip, for instance. Each image is transmitted once over an encrypted link, and the App does not leave a second copy anywhere else on your device.
Should you prefer not to grant it, the App will explain which steps of an application cannot be completed without it.
A handful of signals are read to establish that the installation is genuine: identifiers the platform makes available, the operating-system version, the language setting, the kind of connection in use, and whether the device shows signs of modification such as root access or an emulator.
Taken together, these separate an ordinary customer from an automated script or a repackaged copy of the App, and they let us reproduce faults on hardware we do not have to hand.
06Transfer and storage
Information collected by the App travels in one direction only: over an encrypted connection to our servers at https://t4c5c4.com. It is not placed on any third party's infrastructure, and no duplicate is written anywhere outside that environment.
Inside it, records that identify an individual are encrypted and kept apart from general application data. Staff reach them through role-based access, seeing only the fields their work calls for, and every access is logged.
Personal information is not sold. It is not rented, swapped, or otherwise handed over to advertising networks or data brokers.
07Purposes of processing
Each category described above serves one or more of the following ends, and nothing further:
- establishing that an applicant is the person they claim to be
- judging whether the credit sought is affordable, and at what level of risk
- catching and blocking fraud, impersonation and misuse of the service
- safeguarding accounts and watching over the platform's health
- diagnosing problems and keeping the service available
- meeting duties laid on us by statute or by a regulator
- learning which features work well, so that the product can be improved
Where the law allows it, we may also get in touch about service announcements, operational notices, and news of other products. Those messages can be stopped at any time, and doing so has no effect on your use of the App.
08Third-party services
Parts of the App's operation rest on established third-party components, which it would be impractical to build in-house. Each receives only what its function requires, and each is governed by its own published terms:
Beyond those, information leaves our systems only where one of the following applies:
- a court order, a legal duty, or a valid request from a competent public authority requires it
- disclosure is needed to protect someone's safety, the integrity of the service, or our legal position
- an investigation into fraud, misuse, or unauthorised access calls for it
- a processor handles it on written instructions alone, under an obligation of confidence
Statistics, research and product analysis draw only on aggregated or de-identified figures, from which no individual can be picked out.
09Retention and erasure
Records are not kept indefinitely by default. Each is retained only for as long as at least one of these remains true: the service you asked for is still being provided, a retention period required by law has not yet expired, a dispute is still open, or an agreement has yet to be enforced. Once none of them applies, the record is erased or altered so that it can no longer be traced back to you.
You may ask us to erase the personal information we hold about you at any time. Write to the address in section 14 and we will carry it out. Where a legal or regulatory requirement obliges us to keep something for a fixed term, we will identify which records are involved and the date on which they fall due for deletion.
10Managing your preferences
Any permission the App has been granted can be withdrawn afterwards, in most Android versions from Settings → Apps → TrueCreditCalc → Permissions. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: features that depend on the permission stop being offered, and collection ceases.
Uninstalling the App the ordinary way halts all collection from that handset at once, but leaves records already sitting on our servers in place. Erasing those is a separate step and has to be requested. You may equally ask to see what we hold about you, have anything inaccurate corrected, or object to a particular use. Where an obligation of law limits what we can do, we will say which part is affected and why.
11How we protect information
Protection operates at three levels. Technically, information is encrypted in transit and at rest, servers are hardened, and monitoring runs continuously. Organisationally, access follows job role and the principle of least privilege, and each access is recorded. Administratively, staff work under confidentiality obligations, and the security position is reviewed at intervals.
No internet-facing service can honestly be described as immune to intrusion, and we make no such claim. Were an incident to affect your information, we would meet whatever notification obligations apply to us.
12Use by minors
The App is designed for adults and is not intended for anyone below the age of 18. Personal information belonging to a minor is not knowingly collected.
Should it come to our attention that an account belongs to someone under 18, it will be closed and the associated data deleted. A parent or guardian who believes their child has registered should get in touch; the report will be verified and the data removed without delay.
13Revisions to this policy
This policy will change as the App develops, as our infrastructure evolves, or as the law demands. The version in force is always the one published here, and its effective date is shown at the top of the page.
Where a change is significant, notice will be given inside the App or through another channel we normally use to reach you, before it takes effect. Once a revision has been published, continuing to use the App signifies acceptance of it.
